Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our team at Dillon Consulting.

Your Day will Look Like

  • Providing full project delivery from requirement gathering to site reviews, commissioning, and troubleshooting for industrial, commercial, institutional, and healthcare projects.
  • Designing and managing electrical systems, including power distribution, renewable energy, motor control, lighting, and emergency power generation.
  • Preparing technical specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
  • Preparing technical reports and construction cost estimates.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technologists, and administrative staff.
  • Coordinating with utilities, equipment suppliers, contractors, and clients.

Qualifications

  • An electrical engineering technologist diploma.
  • Registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist in Nova Scotia or eligible for certification within six months.
  • A minimum of five to eight years of experience in electrical facilities-related design and consulting.

Experience

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design and drafting.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and drafting electrical systems, including layouts and equipment.
  • Demonstrated competence in organizing design projects and collaborating with team members and clients.
