Electrical Engineering Technologist

At Dillon Consulting, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our team. As an Electrical Engineering Technologist, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and institutional projects.
Responsibilities- Provide a full spectrum of project delivery, from requirement gathering to commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Design and project manage electrical systems, including power distribution, renewable energy systems, and lighting systems.
- Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
- Prepare technical reports and construction cost estimates.
- Assist with site investigations and reviews, and perform risk assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and coordinate with utilities, equipment suppliers, and clients.
- Peer review designs to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist in Nova Scotia or eligibility to be certified within six months.
- Minimum of five to eight years of experience in electrical facilities-related design and consulting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design.
- Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code and other relevant building codes.
- Substantial hands-on experience in electrical system design and drafting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
