As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing personalized meal plans, and educating clients on healthy eating habits.
Key Responsibilities- Client Care: Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling to clients, addressing their specific dietary needs and goals.
- Education: Educate clients, staff, and students on healthy eating habits, nutrition therapy, and disease prevention.
- Quality: Ensure that all patient care services meet established standards of quality and safety.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in clinical nutrition, attending workshops and conferences as needed.
- Research: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to improve patient outcomes.
- Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following established protocols and procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutritional Sciences or a related field from an accredited Canadian university program or equivalent.
- A graduate of a recognized dietetic internship program accredited by Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice (PDEP).
- Registration with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba and membership with the Dietitians of Canada (DC) are required.
- CPR training certification is also necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical nutrition therapies.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels of personnel, both internally and externally.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt readily to a changing environment and respond with initiative.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and function with minimum direction.
The salary for this position is estimated at $85,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, RRSP matching, and professional development opportunities.
