About the Role

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

- Provide safe, effective, personal care to clients, considering their unique needs and preferences
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve excellent patient outcomes

Requirements

- Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required
- Experience providing care to individuals with physical or cognitive impairments preferred

Skills and Qualifications

- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills and problem-solve
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

- May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals
- May be exposed to disease, blood, body fluids, and other hazardous materials

Salary Information

This role offers a competitive salary of $20.09 - $23.99 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
