Job Title: Senior Manager Asset Management

The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Asset Management team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of all applicable BC SPCA programs and services within designated communities/regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure seamless implementation and successful execution of all BC SPCA programs and services in the area.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage direct reports, as well as provide performance management and termination support.
  • Act as the community ambassador/representative of all BC SPCA programs, policies, and procedures, using effective change management techniques to ensure high rates of success in implementation and compliance.
  • Ensure all legal requirements in health and safety are met and appropriate records are maintained.
  • Analyze area performance in relation to defined metrics and provide feedback, guidance, training, and remedial action to positively impact results.
  • Identify and respond to community needs, ensuring excellent relations and promotion of the BC SPCA's mission and services in the community.
  • Ensure effective communication, coordination, and accountability of the Animal Centre in Large Scale Animal Intake (LSAI) files.
  • Act as the face of the BC SPCA in the area at community events and in the media.
  • Cover for other Senior Managers during periods of absence, as assigned.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Business, Management, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years' related experience, including 3 years' experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Successful budget management experience.
  • Change management experience.
  • Relationship management and customer service experience.
  • Experience working in non-profits, animal welfare organizations, and/or with volunteers would be considered an asset.
  • Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers' License and driver's abstract.
  • Computer skills – Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
