Key Responsibilities

  • Operate 13 ton to 30 ton excavators safely and efficiently, performing tasks such as digging trenches, grading land, and lifting materials.
  • Ensure trenches are excavated to the proper depth/grade, and conduct routine maintenance on the equipment, including fluid level checks and minor repairs.
  • Perform pre-operational checks on equipment, complete maintenance records, and daily equipment logs.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience operating an excavator.
  • Able to read and interpret drawings.
  • Ability to travel with the crew throughout the local area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use grade laser & pipe laser.
  • Experience in sloping, trenching, lowering pipe, materials and tools and backfilling.
  • Experience working with shoring and trench boxes.
