Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating 13 ton to 30 ton excavators, performing tasks such as digging trenches, grading land, and lifting materials. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance on the equipment, cleaning, servicing, and performing minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, to perform tasks such as digging trenches and grading land
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, servicing, and minor repairs
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and complete maintenance records
  • Work safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines

Requirements

  • 2 years experience operating heavy equipment
  • Able to read and interpret drawings
  • Ability to travel with the crew throughout the local area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use grade laser & pipe laser
  • Experience in sloping, trenching, lowering pipe, materials and tools and backfilling
  • Experience working with shoring and trench boxes
