About Miller Paving Limited
We are a Canadian leader in the construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure, with a rich history dating back to 1917. Our subsidiary, The Miller Group, is part of Colas Canada, and we take pride in providing exceptional customer service and operational support using our time-proven construction methods and innovative technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 13 ton to 30 ton excavators safely and efficiently, performing tasks such as digging trenches, grading land, and lifting materials.
- Ensure trenches are excavated to the proper depth/grade, and conduct routine maintenance on the equipment, including fluid level checks and minor repairs.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment, complete maintenance records, and daily equipment logs.
Requirements
- 2 years experience operating an excavator.
- Able to read and interpret drawings.
- Ability to travel with the crew throughout the local area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to use grade laser & pipe laser.
- Experience in sloping, trenching, lowering pipe, materials and tools and backfilling.
- Experience working with shoring and trench boxes.
