Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work in a school or educational institution setting, providing nursing care and support to students and staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care and support to students and staff in a school or educational institution setting.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the physician.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
