Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Multi Service Worker to join our team at Vantage Living Inc. As a key member of our program team, you will deliver exceptional hospitality services to our seniors, enhancing their quality of life and peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver resident-focused housekeeping, laundry, and food services under the direction of the General Manager or designate.
  • Act as a program team member, providing communication and companionship to residents when delivering services within resident suites and common areas.
  • Report observations of social isolation or changes in resident functional status to the General Manager or designate.
  • Participate in resident service planning as requested.
  • Deliver exemplary housekeeping and laundry services, respecting resident needs and requests for privacy and choice.
  • Assist with the preparation, presentation, delivery, and service of meals, following food-safe practices and company policies.
  • Conduct clean up after meals and stock the common area kitchen, ensuring proper inventory rotation methods.
  • Prepare and service beverages and snacks, and assist in the preparation of family and catered special events.
  • Follow the Resident Services Plan and/or Shared Responsibility Agreement when delivering hospitality services.
  • Report critical incidents and unusual occurrences to the General Manager or designate.
  • Assist in the delivery of social and recreational programs, escort residents as requested, and participate in the overall delivery of programs and services for residents.
  • Adhere to WHMIS protocols and infection control guidelines when performing hospitality services.
  • Act as backup in emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Building Service Worker Certificate, Food Service Worker Certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a hospital or hotel setting.
  • Comfortable working alone or in a team environment without prescribed routines.
  • Food Safe – Level I & WHMIS Certifications required.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of the intent and philosophy of assisted living when planning and delivering hospitality services.
  • Self-directed approach – able to plan, organize, and deliver care and services with minimal supervision.
  • First Aid Certificate is considered an asset.
