**Job Summary**

The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in overseeing various financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This individual will work closely with senior leadership and other departments to support the company's financial objectives and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Participate in financial planning and analysis (monthly, quarterly & year-end), providing insights to support decision-making, and conducting variance analysis and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and related forecasting, ensuring timely payments and maintaining liquidity.
  • Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, and researching any accounting issues, while also identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with QuickBooks Online or Desktop, and proficiency with MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, as well as experience with Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
