Job Title: Technical Support Specialist - IT Service Desk

About the Role:
Caregiver Placement Canada is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our employees, ensuring they have access to the technology and resources they need to perform their jobs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide timely and effective technical support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, networks, and software.
Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
Participate in the redesign of applications and other software to improve functionality and efficiency.
Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations to ensure minimal downtime.
Manage incidents effectively, identifying and resolving issues promptly.

Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in an IT service desk environment.
Demonstrated expertise in device drivers, networking software, hardware, security, and Internet technologies.
Familiarity with desktop applications, file management software, security software, mail server software, communication software, web service design, and database software.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, wireless networks, and MS Office, SQL, and other relevant technologies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical staff.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are required.
