Job Summary

The Nunavut Housing Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to oversee the Homeownership and Public Housing Programs. This role involves supporting Local Housing Organizations (LHOs) by monitoring management agreements, providing guidance, and ensuring program compliance with NHC policies and relevant laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide training and counseling services to LHO boards and management
  • Counsel clients on homeownership and public housing programs
  • Oversee mortgage arrears collection procedures
  • Coordinate District projects and initiatives and annual workshops for LHOs
  • Provide guidance and expertise in the delivery of human resources activities

Requirements

  • University degree in a related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience in housing programs, mortgage and loans administration, or property management
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience managing staff

Assets

  • Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages
  • Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, land, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut and experience working in a northern cross-cultural environment
