**ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT**:
The Program Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Agency Modernization strategies within the organization. Working as a member of the Business Analysis and Project Management Office (BAPMO), the Program Manager ensures all programs and projects align with the organization's strategies and business plan. The Program Manager's expertise and leadership skills are essential in delivering successful outcomes and driving the organization's growth.
**MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Responsible for the development and management of comprehensive project management plans through the entire lifecycle of assigned projects
- Development and implementation of large-scale, multi-year, and diverse business improvement projects in a public sector unionized environment.
- Work as an internal consultant and ensure successful delivery of end-to-end projects while providing business solutions which meet divisional and organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage changes that impact the project and propose strategies for resolution.
- Take a leadership and advisory role in strategic projects, program reviews, business case development, quality assurance, and business planning.
- Review and prioritize projects with divisional leadership, to align with organization’s business plan
- Foster effective communication and collaboration between divisions, ensuring smooth project coordination and resource allocation.
- Participate in evaluation and selection of suitable tools or expertise to solve business problems
- Lead, motivate and coach diverse teams to obtain cooperation, instill accountability and achieve results
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination within the project management team
- Communicate project progress, risks, and status updates to stakeholders at regular intervals
- Identify opportunities to optimize project management processes, methodologies, and tools
- Stay up to date with industry trends and project management best practices, incorporating them into the organization's project management approach
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or Web Technologies or equivalent certifications related to the field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
- Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) certification(s)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management ensuring industry best practices
- Business acumen and ability to perform financial and business analysis
- Strong understanding of technology including Microsoft productivity tools and project management software
- Project Management Best Practices
- Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Analytical with strong leadership skills
- Provide training and coaching to team members on project management best practices
