Senior Electrical Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team at Goldbeck Recruiting. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Review and Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of project plans, specifications, and related documents to ensure a deep understanding of project requirements.
- Estimate Development: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and create precise cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to establish project budgets and timelines, and participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures during the estimation process.
- Bid Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including scope of work, cost breakdowns, and schedules.
- Database Maintenance: Maintain an updated database of material, equipment, and labor pricing.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, code changes, regulations, and pricing fluctuations.
- Mentorship and Training: Offer guidance and mentorship to junior estimators when necessary.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry.
- Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate a deep understanding of electrical systems, codes, and industry best practices, and display proficiency in using estimating software and related tools.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exhibit excellent mathematical and analytical skills, show meticulous attention to detail, and demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.
