Senior Electrical Estimator Position Overview

Goldbeck Recruiting is in search of a proficient Senior Electrical Estimator. In this role, you will take charge of analyzing project specifications, executing thorough quantity takeoffs, and working closely with project leaders to define budgets and timelines. Your expertise will also be crucial in pinpointing potential risks and identifying cost-effective strategies, as well as preparing detailed bid proposals and maintaining up-to-date pricing databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of project specifications, plans, and associated documents.
  • Execute meticulous quantity takeoffs and generate accurate cost estimates for electrical initiatives.
  • Collaborate with project leaders and stakeholders to set project budgets and timelines.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and potential cost-saving strategies.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals that encompass scope of work, cost breakdowns, and schedules.
  • Engage in bid meetings and negotiations.
  • Maintain a current database of material, equipment, and labor costs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
