We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at Goldbeck Recruiting. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Plan Review: Thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and related documents to ensure a deep understanding of project requirements.
  2. Estimation and Costing: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and create precise cost estimates for electrical projects, covering materials, labor, and equipment.
  3. Collaboration and Budgeting: Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to establish project budgets and timelines.
  4. Risk Identification: Identify potential risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures during the estimation process.
  5. Bid Proposal Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including scope of work, cost breakdowns, and schedules.
  6. Bid Meetings and Negotiations: Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
  7. Database Maintenance: Maintain an updated database of material, equipment, and labor pricing.
  8. Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, code changes, regulations, and pricing fluctuations.
  9. Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to junior estimators when necessary.

Requirements:
  1. Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry.
  2. Electrical Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of electrical systems, codes, and industry best practices.
  3. Estimating Software: Display proficiency in using estimating software and related tools.
  4. Mathematical and Analytical Skills: Exhibit excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  5. Attention to Detail: Show meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
  6. Communication and Negotiation Skills: Possess strong communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Multitasking: Demonstrate the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Education: A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
