Watson Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Specialist Float to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Specialist Float, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate patient needs through telephone triage, ensuring timely and effective care.
- Administer medication, including injections, and document medication given or prescribed by the ordering physician, adhering to specialty-specific requirements.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Facilitate the flow of patients, maintaining the integrity of the physician's office and ensuring a seamless patient experience.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to provide patient education and support, promoting health literacy and patient engagement.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
- Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Current BLS certification or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or training in a medical healthcare facility as a Medical Assistant.
- 1 year of experience in a primary care setting.
