Watson Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate patient needs through telephone triage, ensuring timely and effective care.
- Administer medication, including injections, and document medication given or prescribed by the ordering physician.
- Provide patient and family education, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to take control of their care.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations, adhering to Clinical Services policies and procedures.
- Facilitate the flow of patients, maintaining the integrity of our physician's office and ensuring a seamless patient experience.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
- Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or training in a medical healthcare facility as a Medical Assistant.
- 1 Year experience in a primary care setting.
Additional Information:
The sign-on bonus will be paid in full after passing the probationary period. A one-year commitment is required. This opportunity is open to new employees only.
