Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Specialist Float to join our team at Watson Clinic. As a Medical Assistant Specialist Float, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate patient needs through telephone triage, providing timely and effective support.
  • Administer medication, including injections, and document medication given or prescribed by the ordering physician.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations, adhering to Clinical Services policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician's office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
  • Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or training in a medical healthcare facility as a Medical Assistant.
  • 1 Year experience in a primary care setting.
