About the Role

This is a dynamic position that requires the ability to establish and maintain linkages with community resources. You will be responsible for assessing clients' needs and providing individual and group counselling in residential or community-based service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Counselling clients in individual and group settings to address their addiction-related issues
  • Assessing clients' needs and developing effective treatment plans
  • Maintaining linkages with community resources to support client recovery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A baccalaureate degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • A valid Manitoba Class V driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel
  • Current certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) or willingness to obtain within three months
  • Experience working in the field of addictions, including knowledge of recovery principles
  • Proficiency in Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
What We Offer

The Northern Health Region offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional development.
