About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Body Repair Specialist to join our team at Hayes Auto Body & Glass (2004) Ltd. as a permanent employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect repaired vehicles to ensure high-quality results
  • Plan and coordinate repair work to meet customer expectations
  • Clean and maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices
  • Repair or replace damaged body components, doors, frame, and underbody components
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to achieve a flawless finish
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using specialized equipment
  • Remove and replace damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolt or weld new parts into place
  • Repair or replace interior components, including windows, windshields, and sunroofs
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
  • Straighten bent frames using advanced frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
Certifications and Licenses
  • Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification
  • Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Red Seal Endorsement
  • Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
  • Physically demanding, with a requirement for standing for extended periods and working in a dusty environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in the automotive damage restoration industry
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
