We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Royal Canadian Lodge Banff. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.
Responsibilities:- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Team Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal kitchen operations.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances and provide excellent customer service.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
