Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Royal Canadian Lodge Banff (InnVest Hotels LP). As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and service.
  • Monitor food costs, inventory, and labor, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and promotions.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent position.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification an asset.
