Job Title: Engineer/Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer/Technologist to join our team at ISL Engineering & Land Services. As a key member of our Vancouver Island team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering and design services for a variety of projects across the island.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable infrastructure projects. As an Engineer/Technologist, you will work closely with our experienced team of engineers, technologists, and planners to design and deliver projects that meet the needs of our clients and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing design and construction services for municipal engineering projects
  • Developing concepts and designs using Civil 3D, CAD, and other computer-aided drafting programs
  • Preparing engineering base plans, designs, drawings, and cost estimates for municipal engineering projects
  • Collaborating with internal and external project team members and stakeholders
  • Inspecting construction of municipal engineering projects
  • Providing input into project budgeting and scheduling
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or Engineering Design Technology with registration (or eligible for registration) with AScT or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and eligible for registration as an EIT with EGBC
  • ~3+ years' experience in municipal or transportation engineering related fields
  • ~ Working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD
  • ~ Transportation and/or Municipal engineering design experience
