We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Technologist or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team as a Project Coordinator. As a key member of our Vancouver Island team, you will be responsible for providing design and construction services for a variety of project types across the island.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal and external project team members and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide design and construction services for municipal engineering projects, including preparing engineering base plans, designs, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Develop concepts and designs using Civil 3D, CAD, and other computer-aided drafting programs.
- Produce design calculations and analysis for storm water and sanitary sewer collection systems.
- Assist in preparing engineering and construction tender documents and contracts.
- Inspect construction of municipal engineering projects.
- Provide input into project budgeting and scheduling.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Engineering Design Technology with registration (or eligible for registration) with AScT or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and eligible for registration as an EIT with EGBC.
- 3+ years' experience in municipal or transportation engineering related fields.
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D/AutoCAD.
- Transportation and/or Municipal engineering design experience.
- Experience in large and small-scale projects.
