We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide dental assisting services, including oral health education and screening, in a specialty clinic and community settings. The attending dentist will provide clinical supervision.
Responsibilities- Provide dental assisting services, including prophylactic procedures, disease transmission, and sterilization procedures.
- Assist with patient care, including taking medical histories, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining patient records.
- Participate in oral health education and screening programs for patients and communities.
- Work effectively as a member of a high-functioning team in a dynamic environment.
- Perform multiple tasks and cope with competing demands.
- Graduate of a recognized Dental Assistant Program.
- Registered Dental Assistant Phase 2.
- Annual registration and certification by the Manitoba Dental Association.
- CPR certification required.
- Valid class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient contact. The ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism is essential.
