MPOWIR, a leading organization in oceanography research, is seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team as Research Fellows. Our mission is to drive innovation and excellence in physical oceanography through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

**Job Overview**

We are currently offering two postdoctoral fellowships in the field of climate simulation and regional ocean modeling. The successful candidates will work on a five-year project focusing on high-resolution climate simulation of the Holocene epoch for the Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Levant.

**Key Responsibilities**

The Research Fellow will be responsible for:

  • Dynamical downscaling of global model-derived climate reconstructions using CESM and WRF models
  • Augmenting the Toronto pipeline to incorporate ROMS and state-of-the-art climate-vegetation interactions models

**Requirements and Qualifications**

To be eligible for this position, you should have:

  • Established technical expertise in high-performance computation
  • Significant experience in either regional ocean modeling or coupled climate-vegetation modeling and analysis
