Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Finance Associate to join our team at Netflix. As a key member of our Production Finance Canada team, you will play a critical role in managing our Canadian scripted and unscripted series and films.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with various Netflix teams, including Production Management, Business and Legal Affairs, Production Tax, Treasury, and Content Accounting.
  • Work with production accounting teams and prep/wrap departments, as well as production services companies throughout Canada.
  • Reconcile total costs for our productions, including tax incentive estimates.
  • Archive titles, including closing out bank accounts, PAS period closing, access removal of external freelance accounting teams, etc.
  • Track and process show fundings for partner-managed productions.
  • Own the show set-up process (both internally and externally with payroll companies, etc).
  • Onboard and offboard production accounting teams to Netflix systems.
  • Process various development invoices and oversee the process of booking costs to shows.
  • Update show-related information in Netflix internal accounting systems.
  • Maintain and distribute Canada Production Accounting Policies & Procedures Manual.
  • Assist with Training, Outreach & Recruitment initiatives with local Accounting caucuses, schools, and I&D organizations.
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.
  • Occasional travel to other Netflix offices and productions in the US and Canada.
Qualifications
  • Freelance experience as a 2nd Assistant in episodic television production or a similar level of experience on the corporate/studio side of episodic production finance is ideal.
  • Must possess a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, disciplined, highly organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • A degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
