The Capital Planning Strategist will serve as an Asset Management Subject Matter Expert and resource for assigned clients, responsible for building and executing the asset management program with specialized expertise in capital planning and implementation activities.
This role will champion innovation, lead change management initiatives, including the implementation and deployment of process improvements, and assign to clients with complex needs.
The successful candidate will lead a team to understand client priorities and needs, customize BGIS' asset management system accordingly, develop an asset management roadmap, asset data strategy, condition assessment programs, lifecycle management strategy, and risk management.
- Key deliverables include portfolio condition and cost performance summaries, recommended capital and asset management plans, securing stakeholder & executive input and support, preparing implementation-ready capital projects, and sustainability and total cost of ownership improvement opportunities.
- Responsibilities include experience implementing leading and best practices in asset management, actively participating and leading process improvement activities, determining advanced data analytics and visualization tools, providing mentorship to asset management staff, addressing escalations and complex client needs, mentoring and providing coverage for Managers, Capital Planning, supporting proposal development, demonstrating strong leadership for team members, full involvement with recruiting talent, mentoring, coaching, and guidance to all team members, objectively recommending compensation adjustments, performance management of assigned teams, supervising and training of team members and clients, liaising with Client Corporate Real Estate representatives to identify business drivers, strategic priorities, existing workflow & processes, and asset information and data systems, monitoring and reporting on physical and functional state of client asset portfolio, creating Strategic Asset Management Plan and program maturity improvement roadmap, assessing asset data quality, maintaining a register of asset risks, completing stress tests of asset strategies and capital planning scenarios, tailoring lifecycle management strategies to client needs, defining asset condition assessment methodology, developing technical design standards, auditing asset data, collaborating to refine and implement asset assessment management processes and tools, monitoring and meeting financial targets, managing team utilization target, collaborating with other business service lines to increase revenue, developing and maintaining effective relationships with clients and account leads, resolving escalated project issues, managing client expectations, ensuring client satisfaction, preparing professional deliverable submissions, conducting research on leading asset management practices, completing lessons learned reviews, identifying improvement or new opportunities related to asset management, providing technical subject matter expertise related to asset management, escalating issues to senior management proactively, and performing other duties as assigned.
