Job Summary

The Group Corporate Controller role at Stonewood Group Inc. involves overseeing corporate reporting, taxation, and special projects. This position requires collaboration with Divisional Controllers to establish streamlined processes for corporate reporting and cash management. As a key member of the finance team, the successful candidate will provide financial and business analysis to support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of the monthly consolidated financial package on time.
  • Prepare tax working papers and coordinate the corporate tax compliance process, interacting with auditors and tax specialists as needed.
  • Develop the Corporate plan, Annual budget, and Quarterly forecast.
  • Manage the corporate insurance program and annual renewal.
  • Oversee consolidated cash flow and related banking matters.
  • Research, interpret, and recommend relevant accounting policies on a consolidated basis to the CFO.
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting for the corporate head office, including oversight of the accountant on staff.
Requirements
  • Résumé of a relevant undergraduate degree with a financial designation, preferably CPA or CA.
  • Experience managing consolidated cash flow and foreign currencies.
  • Experience with F/X and other hedging practices.
  • Experience with tax planning and filing.
  • Proficient with PC applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Estimate Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Takes initiative and is not afraid to speak up and challenge the status quo to improve efficiencies and quality of data.
