Position Overview: As a Human Resource Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future by aligning talent initiatives with business goals. You will collaborate with leadership to drive organizational success, foster a dynamic workplace culture, and empower employees to reach their full potential.
We are seeking a skilled professional who can provide strategic guidance on talent management, labor relations, and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of labor and employment laws, regulations, and procedures in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders to develop and implement talent management strategies that align with business goals.
- Provide guidance on labor relations, including collective agreements, progressive discipline, and employee termination.
- Support the design and implementation of succession plans for key talent and positions.
- Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of Finning's business to provide effective support to business leaders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide guidance on HR programs, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in human resources management, labor relations management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional-level human resource generalist experience, working and collaborating with business leaders in a consultative capacity.
- Previous experience working with HRIS systems and a strong proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- HR designation (CPHR) or significant progress towards completion considered an asset.
- Experience working within a unionized heavy industrial environment is preferred.
