Job Summary

Brightshores is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for promoting health, assessing, providing care, and treating health conditions in critically ill adults, children, and infants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patients' health conditions and develop effective care plans
  • Provide high-quality patient care and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in staff meetings and unit-specific projects to improve patient outcomes
  • Coach and mentor new staff and students to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Utilize evidence-based practice to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Lead by example and demonstrate excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Requirements

  • Ontario College of Nurses registration or eligibility
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Physical Assessment course and Arrhythmia interpretation
  • At least 6 months of emergency room/Critical Care experience
  • Excellent assessment and interviewing skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to prioritize and remain calm during stressful situations
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and continuing education
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records

Preferred Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing
  • Community College Diploma in Emergency Nursing or ENC Certification
  • TNCC, CTAS, and CPI training
  • Participation in RNAO, ENAO, and ENA
