Job Summary

The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Policy Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Wholesale Finance team, you will be responsible for providing accounting advisory services and oversight to our wholesale platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of new IFRS accounting projects, including education, monitoring, and communications.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and address specific technical accounting queries raised by stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between the platform and Accounting Policy Group, Financial & Regulatory Reporting, and other teams to discuss and resolve technical accounting issues.
  • Support the platform in updating, revising, and clarifying existing accounting policies, including interpretations of complex accounting issues.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of high-level involvement in financial reporting or accounting advisory.
  • Accounting designation (CPA).
  • Some understanding of external disclosure requirements.
  • Some exposure to accounting policy/technical accounting analysis (IFRS).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
