Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Canada Inc. as a key member of our food service operations.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role will also involve supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, as well as training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain inventory levels.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training and development.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address customer complaints or concerns.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef, and supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and develop staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
