Job Description:

A position of Export Control Officer has opened within Airbus Defence and Space in Orléans, France.

You will join the Export Control France organization as part of the France perimeter activities, reporting to AD HO Export Control France and Air Power Export Control coordinator. The organization covers Airbus Defence and Space SAS legal entities.

You will be responsible for the Export Control Officer role for the Air Power A400M activities, programs, and contracts involving Airbus Defence and Space SAS.

You will be integrated into an Export control team and support all Services and Programs businesses for Air Power France.

You will be accountable for Export Control and French controlled domain compliance on the Air Power activities, addressing National/Domestic and International regulations regarding controlled activities, licenses, or authorizations management, legal reports, and monitoring.

You will represent the Export Control organization in interfaces with internal AD Business and Authorities (e.g., MoD, Customs, ...) and engage company responsibility in compliance with laws and regulations in your scope of responsibility.

In particular, you will be responsible for organizing and acting as a focal point for Air Power, with the Business, Program, and Services functions and the Group Export Compliance Network. You will also act in combination with LOETF team members to support the integration and harmonization of the Compliance system within the LOETF.

You will support the A400M Sales and Export campaigns of Airbus as Export Control Officer of Air Power France for activities involving Airbus Defence and Space SAS.

You will support any audit or control involving LOETF and act as a focal point for Air Power in France.

You will contribute to implementing compliance with regards to controlled domain laws and regulations within the French Services contracts and Programs; you will interface with the French Air Force for any common topic in the frame of the Air Power Services.

Your Challenges:

  • You will be responsible for organizing/following the operational activities of the Export Control France organization in your perimeter of responsibilities, structuring activities, setting up processes, and defining objectives, aligned with AD HO Export Control France and the different Business organizations you will support.
  • You will interface with the Export control Center of Service dedicated to Air Power in France to fulfill Services and Operations' needs.
  • As a formal point of contact with the different Business organisations, you will be responsible for ensuring sound relations and proper information exchange with the different stakeholders to foster lean and competitiveness and secure the Air Power Services' Operations in an ever-tighter regulatory framework.
  • You will support Business program and activities, ensuring control regarding Go-Export/Go-Import, Classification, risk assessments, and introducing synergies targeting operational gain, introducing better Business regulation adoption, including trainings/pedagogic approach, and positioning Export Control France as a Business enabler.
  • You will advise the Business on Export compliance and support any new Business' deployment, from the negotiation phase to the entry-into-service and the operational activities.
  • You will be responsible for the common activities in France, developed and aligned with your counterparts in Germany, Spain, and UK.
  • You will present regular progress reviews to the Air Power Export Control coordinator and the HO Export Control France and have the duty to escalate any critical topics as needed regarding company compliance and undertake corrective actions at your level.
  • You will be a key contributor to the successful execution of ACE Program remediation activities to facilitate transverse activities in multi-functional team work (Export Control, Operations, Engineering, DTO/IM ...).
  • To support the Export Control operational activities, you will use, maintain, and update Information Systems, including Export Control Information, and propose an IS strategy and policy that meets the needs of Air Power France.

Specific:

  • You will be declared as a legal company officer, engaging AD France legal entity responsibility in your acts, decisions, and mission.
  • This position requires French nationality and a security clearance or requires being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
  • You will work at a French Air Force Air Base and will also travel to MoD premises; you will comply with their internal rules.

Additional details and responsibilities about the mission:

  • You will facilitate daily activities by contributing to LOET/LOETF team development in an integrated way, whose members are located on the different AD sites in core countries.
  • You will support AD strategy set-up, leading deployment, and associated roadmaps with the key stakeholders.
  • You will drive and consolidate Risks & Opportunities management, establishing industrial standards & solutions when relevant.
  • As activities accountable, you will ensure that quality, cost, and schedule are properly controlled and managed through your domains of responsibility, and will ensure the compliance rules as followed.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Your Profile:

  • Knowledge in Export Control, French regulations, and Data Compliance.
  • Highly motivated and knowledgeable with military aeronautics and In-Service Support.
  • Work in a multifunctional/multicultural team and be embedded in Services' Operations.
  • Capable of dealing with complex or stressed situations.
  • Knowledge in Information Technologies (IT), in particular in SAP, digitalization environments is an asset.
  • Well-organized, good communication and negotiation skills, autonomous, and proactive.
  • High degree of initiative, credibility, integrity, confidentiality, and trust.
  • High Mobility required.
  • Negotiation level in English.
