Job Summary

Mitel is seeking a highly skilled Senior Export Control Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant foreign trade regulations, including individual instructions from competent authorities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of export control legislation, customs procedures, and international sanctions. They will be able to develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure Import and Export compliance within Canada, the U.S., the UK, and other EU countries.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance, collecting and reporting data for KPI measurement, and maintaining all foreign trade data for purchased raw materials and sold goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with all relevant foreign trade regulations.
  2. Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure Import and Export compliance.
  3. Oversee and manage compliance.
  4. Collect and report data for KPI measurement.
  5. Maintain all foreign trade data for purchased raw materials and sold goods.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  2. Sound specialist knowledge and practical application knowledge in the field of customs and export control.
  3. Good technical understanding of company products, encryption, and encryption techniques.
  4. Excellent understanding of international sanctions and how to apply them in practical situations.
  5. Good knowledge of standard office tools (MS Office, ERP, SAP).
  6. Familiar with governmental online systems.
  7. Understanding of application of Export Regulations to Cloud applications.
