We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Punjabi By Nature - Oakville. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and cooking processes.
Key Responsibilities- Food Procurement: Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and efficient manner to meet the demands of our menu.
- Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Special Dietary Requirements: Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by our dietitian or chef, taking into account any specific dietary needs or restrictions.
- Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient kitchen environment.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
- Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets to the highest standards of quality and presentation, ensuring that all events are executed smoothly and efficiently.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail at all times.
- Language and Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues and management in English, ensuring clear and concise communication at all times.
- Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 30 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
