About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at East Side Mario's Oakville. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, including cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
    • Help to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
    • Support the serving team by delivering food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management
    • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies, including food, beverages, and cleaning products.
    • Help to maintain accurate inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive team dynamic.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to address any concerns or issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment an asset.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
    • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
