Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Growth to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. In this role, you will be responsible for leading assigned projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring successful business outcomes, and driving execution risk mitigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring successful business outcomes.
  • Drive execution risk mitigation and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Direct, manage, and coordinate team members, including project managers, business and technology resources, user groups, and external consultants.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups, influencing and negotiating to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans, identifying emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues, managing and validating financial forecasts.
  • Break down strategic problems, analyzing data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor and track performance, addressing any issues, and ensuring change management plans are developed and consistently measured.
  • Execute project requirements in governance frameworks, focused on risk appetite, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Develop all related project management artifacts, complying with applicable enterprise standards.
  • Provide project sponsors with advice on the viability of the business case, understanding project interdependencies, and demonstrating critical thinking.
  • Demonstrate stakeholder partnership, effective communication, and trust-building with project sponsors.
  • Lead and/or represent the project in project team meetings, governance forums, and inter-department forums.
  • Adhere to Bank risk, regulatory, and compliance controls.

Requirements

  • Typically between 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project management experience – 3 to 6 years.
  • Valid PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset.

What We Offer

The Bank of Montreal offers a competitive salary range of $68,000.00 - $126,000.00, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
