Job Title: Associate Director, Strategic Initiatives, Private Wealth

At BMO Financial Group, we are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead strategic initiatives and drive business growth in our Private Wealth division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead assigned projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring successful business outcomes.
  • Drive project execution, mitigating risks and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including project sponsors, to ensure project success.
  • Provide guidance on project implementation and sustainment, resulting in successful project outcomes.
  • Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including business, operational, and technology deliverables.
  • Ensure change management plans are developed and consistently measured to deliver expected project benefits and adoption.
  • Execute project requirements in governance frameworks, focusing on risk appetite, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Develop project management artifacts, complying with applicable enterprise standards.
  • Monitor and control project deliverables, making recommendations and adjustments to the overall project plan.
  • Provide project sponsors with advice on the viability of the business case throughout the project.
  • Understand project interdependencies and demonstrate critical thinking to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Demonstrate stakeholder partnership, effective communication with the project sponsor, and ownership of project problems.
  • Lead and/or represent the project in project team meetings, governance forums, and inter-department forums.
  • Adhere to Bank risk, regulatory, and compliance controls.
Qualifications:
  • Typically between 5-7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project management experience - 3 to 6 years.
  • Valid PMP designation from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset.
  • Stakeholder management - In-depth.
  • Able to apply project management methodologies or approaches.
  • Able to resolve project issues effectively.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
  • Data-driven decision making - In-depth.
