About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team at Falls Manor Resort and Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare menus, estimating food requirements and costs
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and service
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they meet our high standards
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Reliability and dependability, with a strong work ethic
