Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Printed Circuit Board Assembler to join our team at CAE. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for assembling and soldering printed circuits, installing and securing components, and operating automatic and semi-automatic machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and diagrams of electromechanical and printed circuit assembly.
  • Have a good knowledge of electronic components to identify values and polarity during assembly.
  • Apply conformal coating methods, baking and air-drying times and temperatures, and maintain relative humidity.
  • Use manual and pneumatic tools effectively.
  • Adjust wave machinery speed and operate automatic and semi-automatic machinery.
  • Perform repairs and modifications on circuit boards.
  • Possess good dexterity for assembly and soldering of electronic components and good sight for delicate tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in printed circuit board assembly, with surface mount assembly experience an asset.
  • Professional Study Diploma in Cable and Circuit Assembly or equivalent combination of qualifications.
  • Familiarity with precision standards (IPC 610D) and occupational health and safety standards, especially WHMIS.
  • Functional knowledge of French required.
