Role and Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be responsible for assembling and soldering printed circuit boards, as well as installing, securing, aligning, and adjusting various components. They will operate both automatic and semi-automatic machinery, and ensure that components are cleaned, sealed, and labeled according to specified criteria and standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Interpreting and analyzing drawings, schematics, and diagrams related to electromechanical and printed circuit assembly. Demonstrating a solid understanding of electronic components to accurately identify their values and polarity during assembly. Applying conformal coating methods, understanding baking and air-drying times and temperatures, and monitoring the room's relative humidity. Utilizing manual and pneumatic tools effectively. Adjusting the speed of wave machinery and operating both automatic and semi-automatic equipment. Conducting repairs and modifications on circuit boards as necessary. Exhibiting excellent dexterity for the assembly and soldering of electronic components, along with keen eyesight for performing intricate tasks.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in printed circuit board assembly is essential, with experience in surface mount assembly considered an asset. A Professional Study Diploma in Cable and Circuit Assembly or an equivalent combination of qualifications will be accepted. Familiarity with precision standards, specifically IPC 610D. Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, particularly WHMIS. Functional proficiency in French is required.
