Bridge Design Engineer Opportunity

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Design Engineer to join our Critical Infrastructure team in Manitoba. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and managing bridge projects from concept to construction, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage engineering deliverables for bridge rehabilitation and new design projects.
  • Perform complex technical engineering tasks, including calculations, modeling, and drawing preparation.
  • Lead and mentor less experienced team members, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • 4-year degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered in Manitoba or eligible for registration.
  • 8+ years of experience in bridge design, inspection, and construction, with a strong track record of project management and leadership.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA S6).
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as SAP2000 or CSiBridge.
