Position Overview

Parsons Corporation is expanding its operations in Western Canada and is seeking experienced civil, bridge, and transportation engineers to enhance our core infrastructure team. We are looking for a SENIOR BRIDGE ENGINEER to contribute to our mobility solutions and manage various bridge projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and management of engineering deliverables for a diverse range of bridge rehabilitation and new design projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
  • Execute complex engineering tasks both independently and collaboratively, while providing mentorship to junior team members.
  • Prepare and verify detailed engineering calculations, models, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Offer technical support during construction phases, including reviewing contractor submissions.
  • Conduct inspections of existing structures, leading inspection teams and providing recommendations for repairs and renewals.
  • Lead project pursuits, including budget estimation and proposal writing.
  • Manage project teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure quality control of deliverables.
  • Provide guidance to CAD Designers and less experienced engineers on various projects.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to meet project demands.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Manitoba or eligible for registration.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in bridge engineering, including design, inspection, and construction.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Extensive knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA S6).
  • Proficient in Autodesk and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with local transportation and infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with structural analysis software.
