Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge CAD Designer to join our team at Parsons Oman. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and practical solutions to various bridge projects and structures in Oman and across the region.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Utilize CAD software to prepare complex layout and design drawings, applying theoretical and practical design knowledge to ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems, and provide input and technical guidance for mentoring lower-level Designers.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines to deliver high-quality results.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in CAD software, and apply this knowledge to improve design processes and outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform checking procedures to ensure accuracy and quality of design drawings, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited technical institute (or equivalent).
  • Experience: 10+ years of related structural and bridge drafting experience, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Civil 3D, as well as strong time management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in bridge projects with government agencies or private sector companies in Oman.
  • Software Skills: Experience with MicroStation and/or Revit is an asset.
