Spiritual Leader for Student Ministry

Main Responsibilities:
The Associate Chaplain plays a crucial role in fostering a spiritually meaningful community for students at Trinity Western University. This position is responsible for designing and implementing programs that promote personal relationships and discipleship, aligned with the university's mission and vision.
Key Outcomes:
Evangelism (Acts 2:1-41)
- Develop a unified evangelistic strategy to reach all students with the gospel of grace.
- Equip students to take the gospel into the world through training and mentorship.
Biblical Knowledge (Acts 2:42)
- Engage students in Christ-centred Bible studies through a sophisticated discipleship strategy and curriculum.
- Provide opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of Scripture.
Fellowship (Acts 2:42-46)
- Develop fellowship events to foster relationships among students, staff, and faculty.
- Connect students to trusted local churches and facilitate partnerships.
Worship (Acts 2:47)
- Create opportunities for students to participate in Christian worship at Trinity Western University.
- Foster engagement and participation in worship initiatives.
Prayer (Acts 1:14) and Service (Acts 3:10)
- Organize regular prayer initiatives for the university community.
- Explore opportunities for students to serve the local community through dialogue and partnership with university departments.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Divinity or Theology, with significant leadership experience in a church or parachurch context. A strong track record of evangelism, deep knowledge of Scripture, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
