Job Title: SR. Lead Hand

At ServiceMaster Clean of Chatham, Windsor & Sarnia, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SR. Lead Hand to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing cleaning operations and staff assigned to residential and commercial client sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage cleaning operations and staff to ensure high-quality service delivery to clients.
  • Train new hires on job requirements and employment expectations, including the ServiceMaster Capture and Removal Cleaning System.
  • Maintain daily log books to record unusual activity and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Manage work projects and assign crews/staff as required to meet client needs.
  • Monitor adherence to standards/policies set by ServiceMaster, including timely attendance, dress code, and personal appearance.
  • Ensure periodic cleaning schedules are adhered to by assigned staff and find additional/replacement staff as needed.
  • Attend weekly production meetings to discuss operational performance and client satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Assign and supervise crew/staff to ensure established standards are met for internal and external building security and lighting requirements.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in cleaning services.
  • Ability to manage people and drive performance of crew/staff.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to engage clients in conversations to service their needs and meet expectations.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated sound work ethics.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a variety of settings.

This is a medium-level physical exertion position that requires moderate intensity of sensory effort. The working conditions are generally safe, with a low risk of exposure to adverse working conditions.
