Job Title: User Support Technician

The Northgate Trading Inc. is seeking a skilled User Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our users, ensuring they have a seamless experience with our systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Consult technical manuals, user guides, and other resources to research and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on the effective use of our systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with other technical support analysts to maintain a comprehensive problems and solutions log.
  • Participate in the design and development of new applications and software to improve user experience.
  • Provide support for business systems, networks, and Internet connectivity.
  • Set up and configure equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
  • Perform regular backups and recovery operations for our web servers.
Requirements:
  • College or CEGEP education in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL principles and desktop applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Hours:

This is a permanent position with a 30-hour workweek.
